Robot Control for Slitter Scorer (Corrugated board, Spain). The original machine (duplex) was equiped with an electronic control system to position slitting and scoring tools, position waste extraction tubes, control the scoring depth and control the order change. This control system was no longer supported by the manufacturer and spare parts were no longer available. Datalex developped a
PC–based control unit that replaced the original control, adding some extra features and ‘specials’ required by the customer. Our client now has a control system for which spares are no problem (PC’s do stay available!) and the control program is well proven.

Automatic Production Control System (Corrugated board, Spain, Finland, Italy) The commercial orders are planned into production orders and this information is sent to our system via electronics (serial, ethernet , memory stick or even good old floppy disc), the data is then presented to the various machines in the production line in the format required and using the specific protocol. The actual production is monitored and when the requested amounts are done an order change sequence is initiated changing the settings of each individual unit in the correct sequence and in the correct time. This frees the operator and gives him time to monitor and guarantee the quality of the product coming off the line. The production results (quantities, run time, stop time, number of order changes, number of quality changes, …) are gathered and joined into a report which is sent back to the administration system, the production manager can at any time consult the status of the line(s) and evaluate the production efficiency.
